Introduction to programming development assignment

Today I completed my java assignment for Maggie  which didn't take as long as thought it would, although there were some quite tough parts in their like counting up all the even numbers in a given integer range.

Java

I like the layout of the java book and the summaries and the descriptions of each chapter although I do learn alot better by just doing the tasks written in the book then do the reading after to back up what I have learnt. This is because when I do it practically, I can test it out and makes changes to it.

I haven't acctualy played or watched any tv/xbox in the last week or two, instead I have been doing abit more work and on the computer slightly more.

Java

Well I was doing my java work I got slightly stuck when I came across a task that involved using 2 different deliminator.

I did manage to solve the issue though.

Work Life Balance

oh no! server is down

So there I was doing my charity website and suddenly the server crashed after recieving a DDoS attack:

"We have just received a HUGE (over 3GB/s incoming traffic) DDoS attack targeting the Server #31. Our CISCO guard firewall was unable to handle such attack, so one of the server's was disabled (all the rest websites on this server are working fine)."

as this was the server i was using to do my website on, i had to stop until it was working again. it was working fine by the morning so i continued on it.

Packet Switching and protocols

today, we covered packet switching and protocols. i learned that a packet is made up of 7 levels and holds data about the destination IP, route, data and error handling.

SMART target update

Timekeeping - I was quite ill and didn't make it in on Tuesday, but made it all the other days, and on time!
Organisation - I have organised all my stuff into a folder now and my computer is organised too.
I still need to put all my stuff into a seperated folder though.

Just revamped my blog, took ages

As you can see, I just spend loads of time making my blog page look much better than before, with a new style and images.

Still got to college even with all the snow!

I was nearly the only one who managed to get into college on Thursday. I was drifting all over the road on the way in. it was so icy lol. As I was coming past the college gates, I did a 180 degree spin as it was so icy!

Also, i did all the work for Thursday, only to realise when I got in, there were no lessons on!
